Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support strategic financial planning. Your expertise will help us maintain accurate financial records, streamline processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within our organization.
Position Overview:
- Assist and Learn to supervise accounting staff.
- Learn the current systems that include job costing system, billing, collections, payables, inventory, taxes and payroll for both companies.
- Oversee daily Accounting activities
- AIA billings/Lien Waivers & project based accounting
- Monthly account reconciliations.
- Coordinate data needed by CPA firm.
- Assist with compliance and reporting.
- Assist Human Resources and benefits programs.
Skills Required:
- At least 5 years recent construction industry accounting experience.
- Strong computer skills including MS Suite, Google Workplace and ability to learn several task-specific software programs.
- Excellent teamwork and good verbal and written communication skills.
- Stick-to-itiveness in getting information required.
Preferred Skillset:
- Experience with Foundation software.
- Accounting degree.
- Strong construction industry job costing experience
