Job Overview
We are looking for a 2nd shift position to join our team. In this role you will provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental illness or traumatic brain injury. You will assist them in their daily activities as needed, as well as promoting their independence.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide patient care and support in both home and community settings.
- Monitor and document as required.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to all guidelines, including HIPPA
- medication administration
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, or nursing homes is preferred.
- Knowledge of caregiving practices including first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs is desired, but training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
