Job Description
(PRN (as needed) and part time positions available) Direct Care Workers for Hope, Love, and Grace is responsible for providing a safe, structured environment that meets the needs of the residents while maintaining professional and acceptable boundaries at all times. Hope, Love, and Grace’s direct care workers are also responsible to maintain this possible relationship with residents, staff, families, etc. Direct Care Workers report to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications
Direct care workers shall be of good moral character, emotionally stable, and of sufficient health, ability, experience, and education to perform the duties assigned.
Hope, Love, and Grace’s direct care workers must

Education & Experience
It is preferred that a direct care worker possesses a high school diploma or a GED. Although it is preferred, it is not required.
Direct Care Staff must be licensed in the following areas prior to performing assigned tasks: reporting requirements, first aid, CPR, personal care, supervision, and protection, resident rights, safety and fire prevention, prevention and containment of communicable diseases within 30 days of hire.
Duties
- Chart residents’ daily progress and activities
- Document incidents
- Implement social and recreational activities and duties in an educational setting
- Ensure that individuals take their prescribed medications
- Prepare meals
- Assists with cleaning and housework
- Runs errands to the grocery store, drug store, and other necessary locations as requested by supervisor
- Successfully complete required training hours annually
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Participate in client outings
- Maintain safety of outside walkways to ensure the safety of residents/staff - maintain clear access for emergency responders in times of need - includes but not limited to sweeping, shoveling, salting
- Administer medications as assigned
Requirements upon hire

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
