Position Overview:
The Account Executive plays a critical role in executing media relations and supporting client strategy across a portfolio of real estate accounts. This role is ideal for a curious, proactive PR professional who understands how to translate complex real estate stories into compelling media narratives.
You will work closely with senior team members to support day-to-day account activity, build media relationships, draft high-quality written materials, and help deliver consistent, thoughtful results for clients across national, regional, and trade outlets.
This is a hands-on agency role that requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, an understanding of real estate terminology and deal flow, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Media Relations & Strategy Support
- Support execution of media strategies for real estate clients across development, investment, brokerage, architecture, and lifestyle-adjacent sectors
- Build and maintain relationships with reporters and editors across real estate, business, architecture/design, finance, and lifestyle media
- Conduct proactive editorial outreach, pitching timely news, trends, transactions, and thought leadership
- Assist with identifying and securing speaking opportunities, panels, awards, and rankings
Writing & Content Development
- Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, bylined articles, Q&As, award submissions, and client correspondence
- Translate real estate concepts (transactions, development milestones, market trends) into clear, media-ready narratives
- Prepare interview prep materials and support media briefings
Account & Team Support
- Support day-to-day account management and client communications
- Track coverage, compile reports, and monitor media for client and industry news
- Build and maintain targeted media lists and databases
- Participate actively in internal and client meetings
- Support administrative tasks, timesheets, and reporting as needed
- Contribute creative ideas for clients and new business initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of PR agency experience, preferably with exposure to real estate, architecture, design, finance, or adjacent industries
- Based in Los Angeles, New York City, or Miami
- Strong writing and editing skills (AP style)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
- Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working independently
- Interest in and growing knowledge of the real estate industry and media landscape
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
