We’re seeking a proactive and detail-driven Underwriting Assistant to support our Underwriting department. In this role, you’ll manage administrative and customer service tasks related to insurance policy renewals, new applications, and updates—ensuring accurate data handling and seamless communication with clients and internal teams.
What You'll Do:
- Be the first point of contact for incoming calls and inquiries, providing courteous and knowledgeable support
- Communicate confidently with policyholders via phone and email
- Gather, track, and follow up on documentation for new and renewal insurance applications
- Maintain a follow-up system to ensure timely receipt of required materials
- Enter, update, and manage detailed data in internal systems and Excel
- Draft concise correspondence and internal notes
- Collaborate with the team, accept feedback, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
- Additional duties as needed

As the administrator of the Petroleum Storage Tank Insurance Fund (PSTIF) for the State of Missouri, we oversee program operations and ensure compliance with state requirements. This position plays a key role in supporting the administration of the PSTIF program.
