JOB SUMMARY
The Inside Sales Associate provides essential support to RAMI’s Sales and Marketing team by managing customer quotes, processing orders, coordinating delivery schedules, and providing responsive customer service. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers and internal departments, including Production Planning, Finance, and Sales, to ensure accurate order processing, timely communication, and a positive customer experience. In addition, the Inside Sales Associate supports the Director of Sales and Marketing with sales planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and the collection and analysis of customer, competitor, and market data.

GENERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
•    Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred.
•    At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service related field.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
•    Experience with an MRP system or similar order management software is preferred.
•    Strong customer service skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
•    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
•    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer issues promptly and effectively.
•    Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and analyze data to support business decisions.
•    Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accurate records.
•    Strong follow-through and accountability in managing customer requests, orders, and ongoing responsibilities.

 
SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS
Customer Service and Order Management
•    Respond to customer requests for quotes and prepare accurate, timely quotations.
•    Review customer purchase orders for accuracy, pricing, terms, and delivery requirements.
•    Enter and process customer purchase orders, coordinating with Production Planning to establish accurate delivery dates.
•    Maintain organized records of customer quotes and orders in accordance with RAMI’s internal contract review procedures.
•    Review and update customer portals to ensure information is accurate and current.
•    Communicate pricing, shipping schedules, order status, anticipated delays, and other relevant information to customers.
•    Coordinate with internal departments to resolve customer questions, address issues, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
Payment and Shipping Coordination
•    Collaborate with Finance to establish payment terms, process credit card and cash-in-advance payments and resolve overdue payment issues.
•    Work with Production and Production Planning to confirm product availability, determine lead times, and coordinate delivery schedules.
•    Communicate shipping terms, track shipments, and provide customers with timely updates regarding order and delivery status.
Sales Support and Forecasting
•    Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in sales planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
•    Track sales activity and evaluate customer performance against prior-year results and established forecasts.
•    Assist in maintaining and updating accurate sales forecasts.
•    Prepare reports, analyze sales data, and communicate key findings to Director of Sales
•    Collect, organize, and analyze customer, competitor, and market data to support sales strategies and business decisions.
•    Assist the RAMI Sales team with special projects, research, and other sales-related initiatives as needed.

•    Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with no restrictions.
•    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work.
o    This is a full-time position, and hours of work are Monday through Friday. 
o    Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates onsite in a professional office environment.  The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
