We are currently seeking an Inside Sales – Entry Level (Level I) team member to join our organization.
What You'll Do
As an Entry-Level Inside Sales Representative, you’ll be an important part of the customer experience. You’ll work directly with customers and our internal teams to ensure orders and requests are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Entering customer quotes and orders into Metalware for material sales and basic processing
- Providing friendly, professional service to cash-window and will-call customers
- Building strong customer relationships through courteous and responsive service
- Preparing and turning around customer quotations in a timely manner
- Communicating with warehouse personnel to track order progress
- Keeping customers informed about order status when requested
- Verifying and filing customer purchase orders
- Entering stock transfer requests into Metalware
- Coordinating with other Harbor Steel divisions on inter-division customer orders
- Supporting customers with annual sales generally up to $50,000, COD customers, and call-in/non-account orders
What We're Looking For
You don't need years of sales experience to succeed in this role. We're looking for someone who is dependable, customer-focused, organized, and eager to learn.
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and proofreading ability
- The ability to remain organized and productive in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of business math
- Comfort using computers, telephones, and calculators
- A high school diploma or equivalent experience

Work Environment & Requirements
Required personal protective equipment in the warehouse includes:
- Safety glasses
- Steel-toe safety shoes
- Hard hat
Candidates must also be able to successfully complete a drug test.
