R.A.D. Camps is hiring Early Childhood Summer Camp Teachers for R.A.D. Sprouts, our summer program for campers ages 4–7 in Bend, Oregon. This is a full-time seasonal role based at Seven Peaks campus. Sprouts staff combine the energy of a camp guide with the steadiness of a teacher. This role is for someone who can create safe, engaging, age-appropriate days that balance outdoor exploration, creative indoor programming, daily routines, behavior support, and strong parent communication. This is not passive supervision and it is not just a playground job. It is professional childcare and youth leadership. The right person is warm, patient, dependable, emotionally mature, and excellent with young children. What you’ll do * Lead age-appropriate indoor and outdoor camp activities for campers ages 4–7. * Facilitate art, sensory play, games, movement, imaginative play, eco-science, outdoor exploration, and child-centered programming. * Support daily routines including drop-off, transitions, snacks, lunch, bathroom routines, behavior support, and pick-up. * Help maintain a 1:6 small-group environment that feels safe, structured, and fun. * Communicate professionally with parents and teammates. * Keep campers safe, engaged, included, and supported throughout active summer days. * Help with setup, cleanup, materials, supplies, and program flow. Must-haves * At least 21 years old. * Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. * Able to pass a background check before employment. * Available for paid staff training June 12–14, 2026. * Strong availability June 15–August 21, 2026. * CPR and First Aid certified by the start of camp, or willing to complete certification before camp. * Experience working with children in camp, childcare, preschool, education, recreation, coaching, nannying, or similar settings preferred. * Strong communication skills, professionalism, punctuality, reliability, patience, and emotional maturity. * Physically able to work active summer days indoors and outdoors. Nice-to-haves * Early childhood education experience or coursework. * Preschool, teaching, childcare, camp, nannying, or youth leadership experience. * Experience with parent-facing communication. * Ability to lead both creative indoor programming and outdoor youth activities. * WFA, WFR, WEMT, lifeguard, CPR/First Aid, or similar medical/safety certifications. Schedule and season * Paid training: June 12–14, 2026. * Core Sprouts season: June 15–August 21, 2026. * Typical camper day: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM. * Staff shifts begin earlier and end later for setup, cleanup, transitions, and parent handoff. * Additional hours may be available through pre-care, after-care, or special coverage. * Full-summer availability is strongly preferred. Compensation $19–$24/hour depending on experience, education, and certifications. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for hours over 40 in a workweek. Mandatory training is paid.
