About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Job Developer/Employment Specialist to support individuals in gaining and maintaining employment. This role combines job development, job coaching, and teaching workplace readiness classes to prepare participants for success in the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with local employers and identify job opportunities
- Match participants with positions based on their strengths and goals
- Provide on-site and off-site job coaching and support
- Teach workplace readiness classes (job search, resumes, interviews, professionalism)
- Assist with applications, resumes, and interview preparation
- Monitor participant progress and provide ongoing support
- Maintain communication with employers and program staff
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with barriers to employment preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to teach, coach, and motivate participants
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Position Details
- Pay: $18.00-20.00
- Schedule: Part-Time (approximately 20 hours/week, may vary)
