What are the responsibilities and job description for the Editorial Intern- Magazine position at Quotable Media Co?
The Editorial Intern will take on an integral role within the very small magazine team, working directly with the Editor-In-Chief, Managing Editor, and team of contributors to put together an online and print publication. Duties will include reviewing pitches, identifying article ideas, drafting articles, organizing interviews, and more.
Editorial internships are for one year, with the intention of being able to contribute to multiple issues and experience the true process of behind the scenes magazine production. We understand schedules may change semester to semester, but hours are flexible and this position is able to be done partially remote so we are flexible with what it looks like but ask for a full year commitment to the role. While we strongly prefer someone who is able to spend time in the office with us in person, we are also willing to consider a fully remote opportunity, for the right person, but please specify that in your application.
Interns will come away from this position with a published portfolio of work in both a print and online publication. This is an unpaid internship that can be completed for school credit if desired.
