Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in all aspects of case development, discovery, and trial preparation
- Organize and review documentary evidence, including medical records, incident reports, and investigative materials
- Draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, subpoenas, and other legal correspondence
- Assist in deposition and trial preparation, including the creation of trial notebooks and exhibit lists
- Coordinate with clients, expert witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel
- Manage court deadlines, scheduling, and maintain up-to-date case calendars
- Monitor case progress and escalate time-sensitive issues to attorneys
- Conduct background research on parties, witnesses, and experts
- Handle document production, record requests, and subpoena tracking
- 5 years of paralegal experience in insurance defense or civil litigation, preferably in trucking or general liability
- Familiarity with Georgia state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems
- Strong legal writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and case management tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Paralegal certificate or legal studies training preferred
