This position is part time at 24 hours per week. This position is fully in-person and offers benefits. Under the direction of the President, the Director of Athletics oversees the creation, promotion, management, and execution of intramural athletic and related activities designed to provide students with the opportunity for a more well-rounded collegiate experience. The Director will oversee all intercollegiate and club athletic programs. The position will also be responsible for NJCAA, USCAA and club eligibility and compliance, fiscal data entry (purchasing and receiving), event scheduling, home game management and supervision of all coaches and athletic staff.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for intercollegiate, club and intramural team management duties including recruitment, promotion, training, teaching, and other support activities necessary for participating students.
- Supervise and evaluate all coaches and athletic staff for all seasons of play.
- Establish annual goals to ensure that athletic programs are consistent with institutional and department priorities.
- Establish and maintain active communication with all appropriate college offices to promote the integration of athletics into the broader educational mission of the College.
- Manage eligibility and compliance in clearing all student athletes for participation in NJCAA, USCAA and club athletics.
- Schedule all athletic events, including coordinating with off campus venues/facilities. Responsible for securing officials, arranging for transportation, and designating personnel necessary for program implementation.
- Ensure that the College follows all national, regional, and college regulations and policies regarding the athletic programs.
- Represent Quincy College at professional conferences and meetings related to athletics, intramurals, tournaments, and related activities.
- Coordinate all athletic recruitment, supervision, and evaluation of coaching personnel and part-time support staff.
- Manage the purchase, distribution, and maintenance of department uniforms, equipment and supplies.
- Maintains a current, accurate, written inventory of all athletic equipment and supplies.
- Work with the athletic academic monitor, and advisers, on coordinating academic success with all student athletes.
- Work with campus personnel and outside agencies in securing athletic facilities for all athletic games and practices.
- Develop and implement community involvement with all athletic teams.
- Supervise any work study staff provided and coordinate work schedules.
- Work with local vendors regarding all equipment needed for the athletic department.
- Prepares and administers athletic budget.
- Develops and oversees orientation programs for students participating in athletics
- Develops and disseminates schedules for athletic activities
- Oversees the appropriate use of all athletic facilities, venues, and equipment.
- Maintains confidentiality of information exposed to in the course of business regarding students
- Collects, reviews, and verifies, as appropriate, and maintains in secure location, documentation required of participating students including but not limited to participation agreements and waivers of liability.
- Actively participates on College TEAMS and in College events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the President.

Job Requirements:
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field and/or four (4) years athletic administration experience including experience in organizing and administering student athletics and activities
