Responsibilities
Under the direction of construction managers and inspectors, you will:
- Learn general knowledge of the electrical, instruments, and control functions of a water and/or wastewater treatment facility.
- Aid in managing construction projects.
- Help to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Help perform daily inspections of all materials and workmanship and communicate deficiencies with the Contractor and Construction Services Manager.
- Help prepare daily reports and accurately document all work performed before leaving the site.
- Attend various construction meetings to understand the scope of each project fully.
- Manage and answer residents’ inquiries and issues.
- Communicate and follow up, with oral and/or written reports, regarding the project's progress to the project engineer, project manager, and/or Construction Services Manager.
- Identify and present possible solutions to potential project-related complications to the project engineer, project manager, and/or Construction Services Manager.
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management Bachelor's degree program from an ABET accredited college or university.
- At least 2 years completed towards degree.
