Position Title: Host/Hostess
Location: Diamondbacks Fine Dining Restaurant Waco, TX
Reports To: Front-of-House Manager
Position Summary:
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Diamondbacks and plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional fine dining experience. This position requires a warm, professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage reservations and seating in a way that supports both guest satisfaction and efficient service flow.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests warmly and promptly upon arrival, making them feel welcome and valued.
Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the restaurants reservation system.
Coordinate with servers and management to ensure proper table rotation and guest flow.
Escort guests to their tables and present menus in a polished and professional manner.
Maintain an organized and clean host stand and lobby area at all times.
Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing accurate information about the restaurant, menu, and events.
Monitor guest satisfaction, address concerns when possible, and communicate feedback to management.
Assist in accommodating special requests, such as dietary needs or seating preferences, whenever possible.
Support front-of-house team members as needed to ensure smooth service operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment preferred, but not required.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
