Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform Linux server system administration functions.
- Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
- Monitoring and patching/upgrades to Linux servers and AWS instances.
- Assist and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
- Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
- Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
- Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
- Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete, excess, or replaced hardware.
- Document inventory changes.
- Proficient with Linux. Minimum of 3 years Linux server administration experience (within the last 3 years).
- Proficient with AWS. Minimum of 1 year of AWS experience (within the last year).
- Experience with either Ansible or Salt.
- Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and AWS instances.
- Security cert
- Syslog/NxLog
- Nagios or other similar monitoring applications
- Scripting experience (Python/Perl
