In this client-facing role, you will partner with commercial clients, producers, carrier representatives, and internal teams to identify exposures, reduce losses, strengthen safety programs, and improve risk management practices.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct client site visits and evaluate workplace hazards and operational exposures.
- Prepare risk assessments and provide practical loss prevention and safety recommendations.
- Review loss history and claims trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist clients with safety and risk management programs, including Fleet Safety, IIPP, Heat Illness Prevention, Hazard Communication, DOT, Emergency Action, Business Continuity, and Lockout/Tagout.
- Provide guidance regarding OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
- Build strong relationships with clients, carriers, producers, and internal teams.
- Support client retention, prospect presentations, and the continued growth of our risk control services.
- Stay current on emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, industrial hygiene, risk management, business, or a related field.
- Five or more years of risk control, loss control, safety consulting, or related experience.
- Experience with an insurance carrier, brokerage, consulting firm, auditing firm, or regulatory agency.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, workplace safety, risk control methodologies, OSHA, and DOT.
- Excellent consulting, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
- Current Property & Casualty license—or the ability to obtain one within 90 days.
- A professional designation such as CSP, ARM, CRM, CLCM, or CSM, or the willingness to obtain one within 18 months.
