Quest Group is actively recruiting for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant with 2–5 years of accounting experience to join our clients organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting principles and experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred, particularly exposure to job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) accounting, inventory accounting, and cost tracking.

RESPONSIBILITIES
General Accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting Support
- Assist with inventory accounting, including inventory reconciliations and cycle count analysis
- Monitor and analyze work-in-progress (WIP) balances to ensure accurate project and production costing
- Support job costing processes by reviewing labor, material, and overhead allocations
- Analyze production variances and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
- Assist in maintaining standard costs and validating inventory valuations
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and variance analysis
- Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing cost and operational data
- Generate ad hoc reports and analyses for management as needed.
Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
- Assist with external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting and reporting efficiency
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) accounting, inventory accounting, or cost accounting preferred
- Experience participating in month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Epicor, Sage, or similar manufacturing systems preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management and cost accounting concepts
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
