Corporate Accounting Manager

Quest Group Is actively recruiting for an Accounting Manager that will play a key hands on role in overseeing clients Accounting and technical accounting operations, financial close, and reporting processes. This position requires a strong background in U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation, ideally gained through experience at a publicly traded company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, mentoring accounting staff, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP.
• Draft and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Prepare and/or review technical accounting memos on complex accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policy.
• Review account reconciliations and journal entries prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and strengthen the company’s internal control environment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
• Train, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering professional growth and ensuring consistency in accounting practices.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. GAAP practices, staying current with new standards and guidance applicable to the company.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Treasury, Operations) to support business initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at a publicly traded company.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to draft technical memos and interpret complex accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proven leadership ability, including training and developing accounting staff.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills required.

Preferred Experience

• Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience.
• Exposure to SEC reporting or SOX compliance.
• Experience implementing or improving financial systems and reporting tools.
