What You will Do:
We are looking for a hands-on engineer to support heavy vehicle production by working directly with manufacturing teams to resolve issues, improve designs, and ensure products are built efficiently and correctly.
This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative, has a solid technical foundation, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Partner with manufacturing to identify and resolve production issues
- Troubleshoot electrical and system-level problems during assembly
- Drive corrective actions and prevent repeat issues
- Serve as the connection between design engineering and the factory
- Provide feedback to improve product designs and manufacturability
- Participate in design reviews and help ensure designs can be built efficiently
- Support continuous improvement efforts (quality, cost, and cycle time)
- Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams as needed
What You Will Bring:
Required Skills:
- Engineering or technical background (electrical, mechanical, or related)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings (required)
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take ownership
- Hands-on mindset and comfort working in a production environment
- Ability to communicate clearly across teams (engineering, manufacturing, suppliers)
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities

Desired Skills:
- Experience troubleshooting electrical systems
- Experience in manufacturing or assembly environments
- Familiarity with CAD or engineering systems (NX, Teamcenter, SAP, etc.)
- Exposure to lean / continuous improvement practices
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Muncie, IN.
• You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
• Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
