We are seeking a strong Controller to lead the accounting function and provide financial oversight across AP, AR, general ledger, month-end close, reporting, controls, and team leadership!

Controller Responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage the full accounting cycle, including AP, AR, general ledger, payroll-related accounting, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.
- Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and develop an accounting team, including direct oversight of AP, AR, staff/senior accountants, and accounting leadership.
- Prepare, review, and present financial statements, management reports, variance analyses, and key financial metrics.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, operations, project management, and global finance teams to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee project accounting, job costing, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, billing, collections, and construction-related financial processes.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and workflow efficiencies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning initiatives.
- Lead audit preparation, tax support, compliance reporting, and coordination with external advisors.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement scalable accounting practices to support company growth.
- Ensure strong financial discipline across departments and provide guidance on accounting best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- CPA strongly preferred; CPA required if needed for client/company standards.
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Prior Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience required.
- Experience managing an accounting team required.
- Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, general ledger, internal controls, and audit support.
- Commercial construction, construction services, project-based accounting, or global company experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition, job costing, WIP reporting, and cost.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP/accounting system experience.
