Coding Representative - Medical I - Monday to Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM Eastern
Pay range: $23.48 - $27/ hour
Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include: Filing, Phone Research, Mailings, Distributions
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to telephone and written inquiries from customers (i.e. Clients, Third Parties and Patients) on cpt coding and reimbursements
- Create and maintain on-line tracking sheets for refund projects, using excel and access
- Monitor and track ICD-9 re-certification under the guidance of a Senior Medical Coding Specialist.
- Translation of Narrative diagnosis in a timely and accurate manner
- Support the manager in the form of clerical duties as well as support to the Medical Coders
- Perform special projects as assigned by the manager
Required Work Experience:
Three years of related work in billing or laboratory testing

Knowledge
- Good working knowledge of customer service and medical terminology
- Good working knowledge of Third Party Payments/reimbursement

- PC skills: MS WORD, Excel,
- Strong ACCESS skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
