Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Provides orientation and training in the technical functions for pharmacy technicians.
• Facilitates the technical work in the department and serves as a resource person to staff technicians regarding procedures and other information pertaining to their technical functions and responsibilities.
• Performs duties and responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician as required.

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Current Hawaii State certificate of registration as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Completion of pharmacy technical program preferred.
• Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) highly desirable.

• One (1) year work experience as a pharmacy technician in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
o Ability to type and operate a computer, calculator, cash register and handle cash transactions.
