What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometric Technician/Receptionist position at Queen City Eye?
Our team is hiring an Optometric Technician to help provide vision and medical eye care services to our patients! We are looking for a motivated staff member to join our team! If you have no experience we will train! Your responsibilities will include pre-testing patients to prepare for the doctor, and knowing how to efficiently run the front desk.
Hours: Tuesday through Friday 10am - 6pm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service with every patient encounter.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - both in person and on the phone
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
- Answer phone lines and schedule appointments
- Ability to learn and utilize various online insurance systems to check patient eligibility and submit insurance claims.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA.
- Operate the following equipment: Autorefractor, NCT, automated lensometer, and optomap.
- Clean all examination equipment.
- General office duties and cleaning to be assigned by owners.
