What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Robotics Engineer position at Quartermaster AI?
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and integrate modular software packages, ensuring seamless communication across different system modules.
- Design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions, focusing on frameworks like ROS2.
- Work with embedded development boards and create drivers and interfaces for various sensors (e.g., GPS, IMUs, cameras, radar), ensuring smooth integration with the system.
- Design and develop infrastructure to serve machine learning models in cloud environments.
- Setting up software in the production system and tracking production systems' status.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Preferably 1-2 years of experience developing software for robotics and AI systems.
- 2 years of strong proficiency in Python and good proficiency in C , with experience in software development within a Linux environment.
- Solid experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS2.
- Experience with real-time processing and video streaming technologies.
- Experience working with various sensors and hardware, including GPS, IMU, and cameras as well as developing drivers for these devices.
- Experience with mobile/embedded platform development specifically NVIDIA Jetson.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Familiarity with standard development tools such as git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Problem-solving and result-driven mindset.
- Flexibility and resilience to work in a highly dynamic chaotic environment.
