The Opportunity
As Material Coordinator, you will play a vital role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this fast-paced manufacturing/engineering environment, you’ll take ownership of the movement and management of materials, overseeing shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of parts, supplies, and equipment. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will directly support production success by ensuring accurate inventory and seamless material flow. Responsibilities
- Perform inventory control activities, including cycle count, data entry, report generation and reconciliation, and investigation of transaction history.
- Accurately process job operation transactions (shop floor control), job material fulfillment transactions and maintain organized records in QD ERP system.
- Collaborate with buyers, planners, engineering, production, and scheduling teams to execute material transactions, movement, audits, and tracking activities, ensuring timely fulfillment of internal and external customer requirements.
- Work with Bills of Material (BOM’s) and WIP documentation.
- Review and update manufacturing work orders to ensure correct set up prior to production builds.
- Participate effectively in group status meetings.
- Prepare material kits packages for assembly production, ensuring all components are available and correctly labeled.
- Support other material handling functions as assigned, including packaging, labeling, staging, and inventory organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Three years of experience in inventory control and/or production control support, including hands-on use of ERP systems
- Experience with Material Review Board & Return to Stock processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in supply chain management, or a related field
- Experience in a production control environment
- APICS CPIM Certificate
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel
Additional Information
- This position’s work mode is onsite. The employee will report to our facility in San Diego, CA five days a week.
- Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical.
- Salary Range: $21.00 - $26.00 hourly
