Overview
This role supports the Loan Trading Desk and is responsible for the execution, control, and settlement of loan trades. The position is highly operational, with a strong focus on trade processing, reconciliation, and coordination with internal teams and external providers.
Core Responsibilities
Trade Execution & Booking
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of loan trades (trade date to settlement)
- Create and process trades in ClearPar
- Book transactions in Loan IQ (deals, facilities, positions)
Settlement & Cash Management
- Coordinate settlement with Back Office and counterparties
- Validate and release payments
- Ensure all trade-related cash flows are accurate and timely
Reconciliation & Monitoring
- Track unsettled trades and follow up until completion
- Perform daily reconciliations (cash, positions, trades)
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Outsourcing Oversight
- Supervise external provider (Alter Domus)
- Validate data accuracy and ensure tasks are properly executed
- Ensure compliance with agreed processes and SLAs
Issue Management
- Identify and escalate trade breaks or operational issues
- Work with stakeholders to resolve issues before settlement
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Produce reports on trade status and operational metrics
- Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiency
Profile
Experience
- 3 years in Loan Trading Operations / Middle Office / Settlements
Skills
- Strong knowledge of loan trading lifecycle and settlement processes
- Hands-on experience with ClearPar and Loan IQ
- Solid Excel skills (reconciliation, tracking)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Education
- Degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
