Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description:

In this role, you will support the design, development, and integration of software applications used in mission-focused and distributed systems environments. You will work across cloud, backend, and full stack applications to build scalable and reliable capabilities supporting operational and customer requirements.

You will be successful if you can quickly learn complex systems, solve technical problems independently, and deliver high-quality software in fast-paced environments.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and integrate software applications and system components.
• Build and maintain full stack and cloud-based applications and services.
• Develop software using Java, React, TypeScript, and related technologies.
• Integrate COTS products and services into larger operational systems.
• Support mission operations, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain APIs, backend services, and database integrations.
• Deploy and support applications within Linux and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Participate in CI/CD workflows, Agile development processes, and system deployments.
• Research technologies and support engineering trade-off analysis and risk assessments.

What You’ll Bring:

• Proficiency in Java, React, TypeScript, Docker, and Linux environments.
• Experience with cloud development and deployment methodologies.
• Experience building backend or full stack software applications.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and network protocols.
• Familiarity with databases, query languages, and system integrations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development tools.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience developing software with Java, React, TypeScript, and Python.
• Experience with full stack, backend, cloud, or application development.
• Familiarity with cloud development, cloud deployments, and application design.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and development environments.
• Familiarity with databases, query languages, and database design.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and network protocols.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD processes, and Agile development methods.
• Ability to quickly learn complex systems and solve technical problems independently.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance.
• Valid U.S. Passport required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Java certification.
• Proficiency with AWS, cloud architecture, and cloud application design.
• Advanced experience with Java, Linux, Docker, and React.
• Familiarity with Ansible, YAML, IntelliJ, and Atlassian tools.
• Experience integrating COTS technologies into larger systems.
• Experience supporting mission operations, testing, or customer-facing technical environments.

Clearance Requirement:

This position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance. Candidates may be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal requirements. Employment is contingent upon meeting all clearance and adjudication requirements.
