.NET / Azure Application Developer

Contract Length: 12 months with option to renew

Start Date: October 14, 2026

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a qualified Application Developer for a 12-month contract with the option to renew, beginning October 14, 2026. The developer will support the planning, development, execution, and completion of IT-related projects while ensuring solutions are delivered within established deadlines and requirements.

At our client's request, the contractor may also have the opportunity to convert to a full-time position at the conclusion of the contract.

Responsibilities

The Application Developer will:

• Write high-quality, maintainable, reusable, and secure application code.
• Resolve complex system integration challenges while collaborating with internal and external technical teams.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and enhance cloud-based applications.
• Review and contribute to technical designs and application architecture.
• Develop and implement new application features and enhancements.
• Demonstrate completed functionality to stakeholders and project teams.
• Monitor application performance and optimize systems for fast and reliable front-end responses.
• Help automate and improve development and deployment workflows.
• Evaluate the feasibility of proposed software applications, enhancements, and system modifications.
• Identify technical requirements, dependencies, limitations, and system restrictions.
• Participate in Agile development processes and collaborative development activities.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should have software development experience in at least two of the following areas:

• Web and API development using the .NET technology stack
• Front-end/UI development using technologies such as React, Angular, and Node.js
• Microsoft Azure or other cloud-based platforms

Candidates should also have experience with:

• Web Services
• XML and JSON
• HTTP and SSL
• TCP/IP
• Application caching
• Azure DevOps workflows
• Agile development methodologies
• SQL Server
• T-SQL
• Stored procedures
• Database performance and optimization
• Git or similar source-control technologies
• System integration and application development

Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to learn and work with new programming languages, development tools, and technologies as needed.

Education and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• 2–4 years of professional application development experience
• An equivalent combination of education and experience

Relevant application development experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
