We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale public health technology initiative focused on improving the administration and tracking of licenses for various public facilities. This role operates within a technology services environment supporting health systems and applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate, plan, and organize all project activities.
- Interface with stakeholders across all impacted areas, including end users, vendors, and project teams.
- Analyze and negotiate project scope, budget, and schedule; manage vendor contracts.
- Assist in resource planning and allocation for projects.
- Proactively manage and track risks, issues, budget, and timelines.
- Provide regular updates and status reports to business sponsors and leadership.
- Ensure adherence to established system development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Oversee vendor and internal team deliverables to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Support implementation of federal and/or state regulatory changes.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive project status reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant experience.
- PMP certification required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Visio).
- Demonstrated ability to lead small to large project teams.
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
- Experience managing IT projects within the public health domain.
- Strong experience managing scope, quality, risks, issues, and escalations.
- Proven success delivering IT projects and collaborating across business and technical teams.
- Proficiency with project management methodologies (e.g., PMI) and tools such as Microsoft Project.
- Experience managing vendors and contracts for large-scale IT initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead meetings, manage teams, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Strong decision-making skills and self-motivation.
- Experience managing enterprise-level projects using Microsoft-based technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise projects using Microsoft technologies.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives.
- Experience developing requests for proposals (RFPs) or bids.
- Knowledge of healthcare research, planning, and financial management.
- Experience with healthcare policy interpretation, development, and implementation.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Experience analyzing regulatory requirements, legislative actions, and CMS guidelines.
