Overview:
Our client's Information Technology Branch seeks an individual to serve as a Desktop Engineer/Support Technician in the Information Technology Branch's Field Support Section
Key Responsibilities:
- Main responsibility is to administer KSP Desktops, Notebooks, and Mobile Data Terminals (and accompanying equipment).
- Hardware and software support, including specialized law enforcement software and devices.
- Assist with IT equipment in KSP cruisers.
- Work with vendors for support on workstation issues.
- Coordinate with Tier 1 and 3 personnel on support issues
- Work with the IT Ticket System
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned or needed by the agency.
Qualifications:
- Windows desktop operating systems support client hardware and software, including Office 365 applications.
- Troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to create technical documentation.
- Provide Tier 2 support to other personnel in the IT Branch.
- Ability to receive training and retain new knowledge.
- Ability to be professional and courteous.
Additional Information:
- 8 am - 5 pm (the position will have a desk at 1266 Louisville Road, Frankfort).
- The interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams or in person at 1266 Louisville Road, Frankfort, KY.
- Rare travel away from Frankfort will be necessary, and a Pool vehicle will be provided.
- Must submit to a fingerprint support background check though an automated system using IdentGO.
