What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Engineer position at Quanta Manufacturing Nashville, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To assist Engineering with troubleshooting day to day production floor issues, NPI builds and activity, updating and creating assembly SOPs & Visual Aids, Operations Training, Reworks, and cable file creation for CCBU.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and Update assembly SOPs for CCBU.
- Assist with NPI builds and help lead activity on production floor to meet TRI date and shipment.
- Assist Engineering with Pre-TRI documentation.
- Create and maintain cable files for CCBU.
- Assist in the implementation of ECN’s and reworks needed for production.
- Provide Training to Operations regarding new products and processes.
- Take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; able to reason, even when dealing with emotional topics
- Work with cross functional teams to develop and implement process improvement projects.
- Collect, maintain and analyze data and metrics to improve TAT and FPY.
· Assist with resolving Engineering Holds in a timely manner
- Ability to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Able to start and persist with specific courses of action while exhibiting high motivation and a sense of urgency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Two (2) years of manufacturing experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- PC skills including Windows, MS Work, MS Excel, MS access or related software.
- Creative problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.
- Must be a team player that can work efficiently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to function and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
