Position Summary:
The Senior Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations and provides leadership to warehouse personnel to ensure the accurate and timely flow of materials in support of production. This position leads receiving, inventory control, picking, kitting, shipping, and material storage activities while maintaining standards for safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity. The Senior Warehouse Supervisor works closely with Production, Materials, Purchasing, and Planning to resolve issues, improve warehouse operations, and meet business needs. This position carries direct supervisory authority, including assigning and directing work, coaching and developing employees, and partnering with Human Resources on performance and employee relations matters.
Essential Functions:
· Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, kitting, shipping, and material movement.
· Supervise warehouse employees, assign daily priorities, and hold the team accountable to established expectations.
· Coach, develop, and train warehouse employees on safety, quality, inventory, SAP/ERP, and standard work procedures.
· Partner with Human Resources on performance management, attendance, and employee relations matters.
· Monitor inventory accuracy and ensure transactions are completed correctly and timely in SAP/ERP systems.
· Coordinate and support cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory audits.
· Ensure materials are properly received, identified, stored, protected, and delivered to production.
· Verify receiving documentation, purchase orders, invoices, bills of lading, shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
· Monitor picking and kitting activities to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of materials.
· Prepare and coordinate shipments according to established procedures and routing requirements.
· Identify operational issues and work with Purchasing, Planning, Production, and Materials to resolve them.
· Maintain warehouse safety, housekeeping, organization, and compliance standards, including OSHA requirements.
· Monitor warehouse performance and provide accurate and timely operational reports.
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, inventory accuracy, material flow, and overall warehouse performance.
· Support audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, operations, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum 5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
· Experience with inventory control, receiving, shipping, and material handling.
· Experience with SAP or another ERP system preferred.
· Familiarity with safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA requirements.
Other Skills and Abilities:
· This is a FULLY ONSITE position; must be able to report onsite daily.
· Available to work overtime as needed, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
· Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with multiple languages spoken.
· Strong leadership and employee development skills.
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
· Effective problem-solving ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Well organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks and manage changing operational needs.
· Knowledge of electronics or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
· Computer literate in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office and warehouse/ERP systems.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
· Ability to safely operate powered industrial vehicles and distinguish between colors.
· Ability to bend, stoop, stand/sit for prolonged periods, move about production and warehouse facilities.
