Quanex is looking for a Tool and Die Maker to analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools.

What Success Looks Like:
- Fabricate and repair plastic injection and zinc die cast molds & stamping dies
- Perform general Tool & Die while supporting the production areas
- Operate CNC machine
- Fabricate and maintain assembly equipment with jigs and fixtures
- Fabricate and repair plastic injection, molds, and stamping dies
- Support all areas of the plant with Tool & Die abilities
- General machining, grinding, and preventative maintenance of the tools and equipment
- Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes.
- Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools, dies, or assemblies.
Your Credentials:
- Two year degree in Tool & Die
- 5 years’ experience working with Tool & Die Preferred
- CNC machine knowledge beneficial
The hourly salary for this position starts at $27/hr. depending on experience.
