Duties
- Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to run conduit, pull wire, and install fixtures according to schematics and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to support accurate installation work.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters for low voltage and high voltage circuits.
- Support the setup and maintenance of low voltage systems, including alarms, data wiring, and communication networks.
- Follow all safety procedures related to construction, electrical codes (such as NEC), and working with high voltage systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently, accurately, and within safety standards.
Requirements
- Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is a plus.
- Experience working on construction sites with a focus on electrical installation is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems; knowledge of NEC standards is advantageous.
