What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Painter/Sandblaster position at Quality Welding & Fabrication?
Minimum 2-3 years of experience.
- Must be familiar with airless spray gun, which includes proper maintenance and cleaning.
- Must be familiar with verifying millage, as well as blasting process and safety protocols.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to distinguish between different colors are critical for surface preparation and coating
- preference will be given to NACE certified applicants
Key Skills
- Surface Preparation: Proficiency in chemical stripping, sandblasting, and using hand or power tools to clean surfaces before painting.
- Equipment Operation: Expertise in handling high-pressure airless sprayers, rollers, and specialized industrial equipment.
- Material Knowledge: Understanding how to properly mix, thin, and apply heavy-duty protective coatings, epoxies, and corrosion-resistant paints based on specific product and safety data sheets
Skills: Precision, mixing paint, proper storage and disposal, organized, and maintain a clean workspace.
