TRAINING MANAGER

Quality Services Moving, a GROWING veteran-owned relocation company headquartered in Lorton, Virginia, seeks a full-time Training Manager with excellent organizational and leadership skills to train employees and assess performance both in-house and in the field.

Due to continued expansion as a result of our team’s strong work ethic and industry reputation, a Training Manager is needed to help maintain our tradition of excellence! That strong work ethic is what contributes to the continuous growth of our organization.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Maintains an appropriate training regimen to include proper packing, moving, customer service, and driving techniques for all employees
• Works closely with Operations Department to coordinate on-site quality control inspections and provides remedial training and/or counseling sessions to employees who exhibit substandard performance
• Evaluates employee performance to produce customer satisfaction scores in accordance with company standards
• Conducts time in motion studies to ensure crews are working at an acceptable pace without sacrificing the quality of work performed
• Upholds and enforces various regulations and corporate policies/procedures for compliance
• Administers certified training and employee recognition programs
• Successful Applicant Requirements:
• 2 yrs experience in the household goods (HHG) and/or relocation industry
• A valid CDL A driver’s license (or the ability to obtain one Preferred but not required )
• Prior Training and/or Operations-related management experience in the trucking sector
• Familiarity with DOT regulations
• Demonstrated training experience along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• A positive, leadership-oriented attitude with an ability to motivate others
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Drug free with no criminal history
• Reliable transportation to/from our Lorton, VA facility (NOTE: Position is located in Lorton and is NOT metro-accessible!)

NOTE: This is a physically demanding and hands-on training position which incorporates both classroom and field instruction to household goods movers. Must have prior transportation/operations-related management and/or training experience!

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
