We are seeking an experienced and like-minded Logistics Coordinator/Dispatcher with similar attributes for our Operations Department to facilitate continued expansion. As our Logistics Coordinator/Dispatcher, you will plan operational activities to fully utilize fleet capacity for optimum efficiency and profitability. Additional responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following: · Receives shipment offers, evaluates logistical feasibility and profitability of servicing requirements, and renders decision to accept or reject each offer· Efficiently plans loads and assigns to trucks/drivers, actively seeking opportunities as necessary to ensure fleet is continually operating at peak capacity· Communicates load plans, routes, and requirements to drivers and monitors crews to ensure obligations are being met in a timely manner· Appropriately schedules jobs, necessary equipment and materials, and qualified personnel to timely, efficiently, and profitably meet service obligations· Communicates with shippers, drivers, crews, and carriers, both verbally and in writing, regarding the status of shipments· Collaborates with others concerning vehicle maintenance and repairs to maintain fleet readiness Requirements:·2 years of Logistics-related/Transportation course work, military experience, or equivalent work-related experience (prior HHG industry experience is a plus but is not required) Strong geographical knowledge as it pertains to route planning and driver/crew schedulingPrevious dispatching, or similar management experience Experience with Driver Qualification Files, DOT Clearinghouse, ELog review/compliance, and Driver safety Exceptional quick-thinking, problem-solving, follow-through, leadership, and motivational abilities· A positive, service-oriented attitude with strong multi-tasking, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written)· Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office applications, Internet Explorer, Windows, etc.· Experience in the household goods industry is strongly preferred but is not required.
