Role Description The Equipment Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment and machinery to support renovation, remodeling, and disaster restoration projects, including site preparation, material movement, and excavation work. Daily tasks include inspecting and maintaining equipment, loading and unloading materials, following project plans and safety procedures, and coordinating with supervisors and crew members to ensure efficient workflow. The Equipment Operator will help set up and maintain safe work areas, assist with basic construction tasks as needed, and report any equipment or site issues promptly. This position requires consistent on-site presence and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Equipment Operation and Heavy Equipment use for construction and restoration sites.
- Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation and safe material handling procedures.
- Candidates should possess skills in Excavation and site preparation for residential and commercial projects.
- Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance, including routine inspections and basic troubleshooting.
- Relevant experience in construction, renovation, or restoration environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices and ability to follow OSHA and company guidelines is beneficial.
- Ability to read basic job instructions or site plans and work collaboratively with a field team is beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Tampa, FL job site are beneficial.
- Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and provide a valid driver’s license in good standing.
Salary Range $24-$30/hr - Overtime pay, available.
