Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Cedar Rapids, IA, for a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. Key responsibilities include conducting safety training, managing occupational health initiatives, performing incident/ near miss investigations, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards. The Safety Manager will work closely with teams to enhance industrial and environmental health and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety practices
- Proficient in Safety Training and incident investigation processes
- Experience with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management systems and protocols
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to industrial and construction settings
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to conduct training sessions
- Proven ability to analyze risks and implement preventive measures
- 3-7 years of dedicated construction safety experience and OSHA 30 certification.
- Relevant certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or OSHA certifications are a plus
