Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Elkton, VA, for a Safety Manager. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. Key responsibilities include conducting safety training, managing occupational health initiatives, performing accident investigations, and ensuring compliance with industry safety standards. The Safety Manager will work closely with teams to enhance industrial and environmental health and safety practices.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety practices
- Proficient in Safety Training and accident investigation processes
- Experience with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management systems and protocols
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to industrial and construction settings
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to conduct training sessions
- Proven ability to analyze risks and implement preventive measures
- 5 years of dedicated construction safety experience and OSHA 30 certification.
- Relevant certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or OSHA certifications are a plus
