Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in New Orleans, LA, for a Senior Draftsman/Designer. The role involves creating technical drawings and designs aligned with client specifications and adhering to industry standards. Responsibilities include utilizing computer-aided design (SolidWorks/CAD) software to develop designs, interpreting client needs, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring accurate and detailed designs. The Draftsman/Designer will also assist in design reviews, revisions, and quality checks to ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools for creating detailed technical drawings and designs
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, design standards, and fabrication processes
- Experience in interpreting client requirements and translating them into functional design solutions
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure design accuracy and quality
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of marine, NAVSEA furniture, or manufacturing industries is a plus
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or related field preferred
