Duties
- Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform mowing, trimming, edging, and general maintenance tasks
- Support irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure healthy plant growth and water efficiency
- Perform lawn care duties such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to maintain pristine turf conditions
- Conduct landscape maintenance including pruning trees and shrubs, mulching beds, and snow plowing during winter months
- Use excavation equipment like mini-excavators for site preparation or drainage work under supervision
- Support tree care activities including trimming, removal, and health assessments to promote safety and aesthetic appeal
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and construction
- Experience or interest in lawn care, gardening, horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree trimming is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions for extended periods
- Willingness to learn new skills related to irrigation systems, tree care, or other specialized landscape tasks
