Duties
- Assist with landscape installation, including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, and aerating to keep outdoor spaces pristine
- Maintain landscapes through pruning, tree trimming, irrigation system setup, and seasonal snow plowing when necessary
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, trenching, and landscape shaping
- Support landscape maintenance activities by watering plants, applying mulch, fertilizing, and weed control
- Help with equipment maintenance including cleaning and minor repairs on tools like excavators and other machinery
- Follow safety protocols during all tasks to ensure a secure working environment
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge to operate small machinery and hand tools effectively
- Prior experience or familiarity with lawn care, gardening, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions with physical stamina for manual labor
- Knowledge of landscaping techniques including planting, pruning, irrigation installation, and hardscape construction is a plus
- Comfort using power tools such as trimmers, blowers, drills, and excavators for various tasks
