We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Water Plant Operator / Houseman to join our team at the hotel’s water treatment facility. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to regulate water treatment processes.
- Perform routine equipment repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, and heavy machinery involved in water and wastewater treatment.
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality, flow rates, chemical levels, and system performance to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage heavy equipment operation including tanks, pumps, and construction tools necessary for plant upkeep or upgrades.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and troubleshoot issues within the water treatment facility to maintain continuous operation.
- Assist with waste management by overseeing wastewater treatment processes and ensuring environmental compliance.
- Engage in basic math calculations for chemical dosing, flow measurements, and system calibrations while maintaining detailed records of operations and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, plumbing, or heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in water treatment plants.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to water quality and system performance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of routine maintenance or construction tasks.
- Basic math skills necessary for chemical calculations, measurements, and data collection.
- Prior experience in wastewater treatment or water treatment facilities is preferred but not required.
