Overview
Join our dynamic facilities team and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, clean and well-functioning environment across in our hotel. As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all building systems and equipment operate smoothly, grounds, and inside our hotel are clean, and supporting the overall safety, cleanliness and productivity of the hotel. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for maintenance & groundskeeping to create a comfortable and reliable workspace for all guests and team members.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other building systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using various tools.
- Conduct mechanical repairs, and plumbing system maintenance to address facility needs promptly.
- Oversee facilities maintenance activities including residential painting, clean outside grounds, inside and room detail repairs and carpet cleaning as require, any outside MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) tasks not within housekeepers scope.
- Supervise contractors during repair projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and asset records.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify potential hazards or areas requiring repair; coordinate with vendors or internal teams for timely resolution.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical equipment repair and some HVAC system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams related to facility systems.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring, plumbing systems, and residential painting.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
- some experience in a hotel or facilities environment with leadership qualities to guide teams or contractors.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with guests, internal teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance planning and recordkeeping.
- Fluency in English with clear communication skills essential for safety instructions and technical documentation.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
