Job Summary:
The Customer Sales and Support representative is an instrumental position in how Quality Ingredients differentiates itself in the marketplace. As a contract manufacturer, Quality Ingredients does not manufacture its own products but is under contract to manufacture the products of dozens of customers. Our success is a direct function of how well we serve and support the very unique needs of each of those customers. This position is part of our “face” to the market. Responsibilities:
- Receives, confirms & processes orders sent in by customers.
- Serves as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, issues related to open orders, opportunities, etc.
- Coordinates orders with operations, scheduling and purchasing.
- Follows up on orders as related to product availability, shipping, etc.
- Communicates shipping updates for finished products, confirms pricing
- Manages day to day customer service requirements for assigned customers, distributes incoming leads for reply, etc.
- Use discretion and independent judgment when interacting with customers to provide assistance and advice as needed.
- Arranges freight deliveries to include export.
- Arranges and updates spreadsheets, reports, etc.
- Maintains methods for responding to customer inquiries via telephone, online networks, and mail.
- Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent paperwork for invoicing, shipping details and records.
- Ensures that incoming customer orders are in alignment with terms and conditions of sale, and overall production capacity.
- Coordinates marketing and sales tools for trade shows, including shipping materials and promotional items.
- Manages day to day customer service requirements for assigned customers, distributes incoming leads for reply, etc.
- Participates, when needed, in customer visits, trade shows, sales calls, etc.
- Performs limited receptionist duties such as answering and transferring phone calls, answering door/greeting guests.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree or Bachelor degree preferred; or five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of logistics preferred (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
- Ability to multi-task & respond “on demand” daily
- Communicates clearly, thoroughly, and respectfully
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently within a team setting
- Positive and appreciative attitude and willingness to learn and do new things
- Strong work ethic - dedicated to the work and the team to do what it takes to get the job done
- Great attention to detail; superb listening skills
- Able to maintain and complete detailed written records
- Able to assess and analyze situations, resolve conflicts, and propose solutions
- Prior experience in contract manufacturing is a plus
Compensation:
Position Hours: 7am – 430pm, Mon – Fri
