SUMMARY: Assist in Order Processing, Inventory Control, and Shipping & Packaging Departments as needed to fulfill daily customer orders for shipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Select product according to customer invoice to facilitate order processing.
• Keep stocked product/items organized and readily accessible.
• Throw items on sorting machine to be organized into bins for processing.
• Pull batches of sorted product off the sorter and scan individual items within each batch with an RF scanner to verify customer order accuracy.
• Identify orders with incorrect, extra, or missing items and flag for resolution.
• Work with other members in the shipping department in an assembly line fashion to scan, check, and box orders specifically to any packaging or shipping requirements, if any, before placing them on the conveyor belt system for final packaging.
• Sort, stack, and wrap finished boxed product for third party pick-up.
• Regular attendance and compliance with the Company’s handbook policies and procedures.

• Lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to climb and descend on a step ladder and stairs when needed.
• Utilize a hand-held RF scanner repetitively to scan items.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is working in an indoor, climate-controlled area within the secure warehouse. Dust from packages and noises from warehouse machinery are prevalent in the warehouse area.

Individuals working in the "secure area" must follow the Company's Secure Area Dress Code and Security policies and procedures.  All clothing must be free from metal, and no metal may be worn into the secure area of the building.  Any metal inside or outside the body due to a medical condition must be visually inspected, or reasonable accommodations may be made.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:

Part-Time Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. until “close” (“close” is generally around 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. but varies by day and throughout the year based on order volume and seasonal needs).  Some overtime and Saturday hours may be required during peak-seasons.

• Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
