Job Description
The Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding metal aluminum boxes for industrial electrical control panels, as well as performing structural welding to build frames for E-House projects. The role requires proficiency in multiple welding techniques, the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and adherence to strict quality and safety standards. Candidates must pass a weld test and demonstrate skills with TIG, MIG, and arc welding on various gauges and heavy tubing.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld metal components using TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding techniques
- Perform structural welding (4G, 3G) for E-House frames
- Measure, cut, and prepare materials according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints prior to starting each project
- Source and prepare materials for welding projects
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet blueprint tolerances and quality standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, using provided safety equipment at all times
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding
- Knowledge of both manual and mechanical welding processes
- Familiarity with metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience with welding 12, 14, 16 gauge materials and heavy tubing (1/4" and 3/8" wall)
- Precision and attention to detail

- Ability to follow safety and quality standards
- Time management and project organization
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting welding challenges
- Teamwork and collaboration in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to pass TIG/MIG weld test on multiple gauges and tubing
- Proficiency in measuring, cutting, and preparing materials
- Ability to verify finished work against blueprint tolerances
- Physical stamina for welding tasks, including standing, lifting, and handling materials
- Knowledge of welding safety protocols and use of PPE
- Must meet the physical demands of welding, including standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and handling welding equipment
- Manual dexterity for precise welding and material handling
- Clean work clothes with steel-toed boots preferred
- Safety equipment provided and required to be worn at all times
- Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to metalworking, welding fumes, and machinery
- Monday through Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Monday through Thursday 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (swing shift)
