Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The hours are 7am-3pm Monday through Friday. This is a 1st shift job.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling according to established procedures.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and industrial cleaning standards is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
