Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Handle chemical agents safely for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Conduct heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, tasks involving supplies, trash bins, and cleaning equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash receptacles, restocking supplies, and performing detailed sanitation routines throughout the facility.
- Utilize custodial experience to identify maintenance needs or hazards and report them promptly for resolution
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding proper manual handling procedures.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to ensure all areas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained.
- Prior porter or facilities maintenance experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift.
